Scott just pulled off a surprise event which is the first of a series (yes, the guest list was notified.) The first Capsule Design Series event was held Friday, June 20th, at Design Within Reach on Fillmore Street in San Francisco. The event featured senior design team members from San Francisco's fuseproject. fuseproject is one of the hottest design shops in the world. Headed by Yves Behar, fuseproject designs include the XO children's laptop, the Herman Miller Leaf Light, the Y Bottle used for Y Water and a redesign of Birki's garden clog, among others. fuseproject Creative Lead Pichaya Puttomgul delivered the presentation, showing off several of fuseproject's newer designs. The event turned out to be quite pleasant, with everyone seeming to have a good time. We'd like to thank Kelly Spain, proprietor of Design Within Reach Fillmore Studio, the fuseproject team, Dylan Mahoney and all those who attended, for such an excellent event. The Spring Capsule Design Festival was easily the best ever. The weather was perfect. The overall vibe very festive and positive. Much love to DJ Nature Boy for spinning the hottest tunes ever heard at Capsule. Capsule is truly fortunate to have both talented designers and the best attendees you'll ever encounter at an outdoor show. We'd like to thank both the designers and the thousands who showed up, for making Capsule the design festival it is. We shot lots of video and photos and will post them soon.
